Heather's work is from a personal level of perception and experience. It is about human relationships, questioning the humanness of existence within the familial and social structure. Her aim is to capture a moment, a memory, an exploration of an untold story or imagined image, of what was once present. The work fluctuates between the familiar and the unknown while simultaneously including the past and the present. The work can sometimes be unsettling in it's subject matter, often pushing the viewer to emotively question it's content.
